Insure.com and Quadrant Information Services have compiled a top 10 list of the least and most expensive cars to insure- and there is no surprises on the most expensive list. European luxury vehicles exclusively take all ten spots on the list, including Mercedes, BMW, and Aston Martin. The cheapest cars to insure are American-made and Japanese-made minivans (taking the top four spots) and SUVs.
Statistics for insurance premiums were gather from the top six car insurance companies (State Farm, Allstate, Progressive, GEICO, Farmers and Nationwide) and averaged . Clearly, insurance premiums vary state to state and driver to driver and the list below represents a national average based on a 40 year-old male driver with a clean driving record, good credit, and commutes a little more than 10 miles to work a day
