Do Illinois drivers need no-fault coverage?

Posted on January 21st, 2010 No Comments

No-fault insurance coverage is a type of insurance coverage that covers drivers even if they are not at fault in the accident. However, no-fault insurance coverage also restricts a policyholder’s rights to seek damages in a car accident.

Like personal injury protection, this type of insurance is not required in Illinois. Illinois drivers, however, are required to carry both Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Coverage.
